In accordance with BS 7010 and BS 5499, signs indicating Designated Smoking Areas are classified as Safe Condition signs, similar to First Aid signs and Fire Exits. These signs should typically feature white text on a green background, accompanied by a tick or relevant symbol. However, we believe that signs permitting smoking should not be regarded as 'safe' due to the detrimental effects of smoking. To clearly distinguish these signs from Safe Condition signs, our range utilises a black design.
