The Ice Detection sign serves as an early warning system that can be utilised in any outdoor area, including car parks, railway stations, depots, roads, hospitals, retail locations, airports, walkways, and outdoor workplaces. The signs operate with a temperature-sensitive blue reflector that gradually becomes visible when the temperature reaches 2°C and is fully visible at -1°C. It requires no power and is virtually maintenance-free.

This signage system will reduce the personal injury financial risk associated with costly accidents and contributes to the employer's 'Duty of Care' charter towards their employees. It serves as a straightforward visual indicator of impending freezing conditions. The Ice Detection Sign has a three-stage indication process utilising a temperature-sensitive blue reflector that rotates into position when temperatures begin to drop below 2°C.

As illustrated: when the temperature is above 2°C, the grey indicator signifies that conditions are normal. As the temperature decreases, the reflector transitions to indicate that conditions are becoming colder, suggesting the possibility of freezing conditions. When the temperature falls below -1°C, the reflector display will be fully blue.

Our signs are constructed from 3mm thick aluminium composite, making them lightweight and durable. Each sign is equipped with channelling on the rear for post mounting. They should be positioned to ensure they are clearly visible at eye level, providing the quickest indication of the cold conditions outside of any building or car parking facility upon entering or exiting.
