Stokoderm Protect PURE is a universal, perfume-free, non-greasy pre-work skin cream designed to protect against contact with water and non-water-based contaminants, including dry powders. Ideal for use before each work period or for reapplication after hand washing, it effectively safeguards the skin from various workplace contaminants and challenging environments, whether wet or dry.

This skin cream facilitates subsequent hand washing, allowing for the use of mild cleansers. It is also compatible for use underneath gloves, providing an additional layer of defence.

To apply, dispense one dose onto the back of your hands first. Rub your hands back to back, then palm to palm, interlocking your fingers and ensuring you cover around the fingernails. It is essential that hands are clean before application.

Stokoderm Protect PURE has been proven to provide protection against aqueous solutions, oils, and solvents. The cream quickly absorbs into the skin, leaving a non-greasy after-feel. Key ingredients include:

  • Xanthan gum: A highly effective film-forming agent that repels contaminating substances.
  • Kaolin: Fills in skin pores, helping to prevent the ingress of oil-based substances.
  • Dicaprylyl carbonate: A dry-feel emollient that prevents hands from feeling greasy after use, maintaining dexterity with hand-held tools.
  • Glycerine: A highly effective humectant that moisturises the skin and helps to prevent dryness.

This product is suitable for maintenance and production workers in food manufacturing and processing environments, particularly where high levels of skin soiling or exposure to extreme wet or dry conditions are common. It is compatible with natural rubber (latex) and nitrile gloves, further enhancing protection. The silicone-free formula is also suitable for use in paint and body shop areas, where surface coatings are applied. With a neutral pH, it ensures compatibility with the skin, reducing the risk of irritation. Acceptable for use by both males and females, it significantly reduces the potential for skin irritation.
