Stokoderm Protect Pure is a perfume-free, non-greasy pre-work skin cream designed to protect against contact with both water and non-water-based contaminants, including dry powders. This cream should be applied before each work period and can be reapplied after hand washing.

It effectively guards the skin against various workplace contaminants and is suitable for use in both wet and dry conditions. Stokoderm Protect Pure facilitates subsequent hand washing, allowing for the use of the mildest cleansers. Additionally, it is compatible for use underneath gloves, providing a second line of defence.

To use, apply one dose to the back of your hands first, rub hands back to back, then palm to palm, interlocking fingers and including the areas around the fingernails. Ensure hands are clean before application.

This cream has been proven to provide protection against aqueous solutions, oils, and solvents. It quickly absorbs into the skin, leaving a non-greasy after-feel. Key ingredients include:

  • Xanthan gum: A highly effective film-forming agent that repels contaminating substances.
  • Kaolin: Fills in skin pores and helps prevent ingression by oil-based substances.
  • Dicaprylyl carbonate: A dry-feel emollient that prevents hands from feeling greasy after use, retaining dexterity with hand-held tools.
  • Glycerine: A highly effective humectant that moisturises the skin and helps prevent dryness.

Stokoderm Protect Pure is suitable for use by maintenance and production workers in food manufacturing and processing environments where high levels of skin soiling or exposure to extreme wet or dry conditions are encountered. It is also suitable for use under natural rubber (latex) and nitrile gloves to help provide a second line of defence. The silicone-free formula makes it appropriate for paint and bodyshop areas where surface coatings are being applied. With a neutral pH formula, it ensures compatibility with the skin and reduces the risk of potential irritation. Acceptable for use by both males and females, it minimises the potential for skin irritation.
